How do I adopt one of these cuties?
Sadie Jane and her puppies are available through Rocket Dog rescue. The process includes submission of a completed adoption application, which will be reviewed by a key volunteer, a meeting with the dogs, and a home check. The objective is to find the most appropriate placement for these special babies and their mom...
Please read more about Rocket Dog Rescue, an all-volunteer organiztion, located in San Francisco, CA:
http://www.rocketdogrescue.org/
Adoption applications are available:
http://www.rocketdogrescue.org/pdfs/10-0912-combined%20application-pdf.pdf

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an Adoption Application from the website and send it with the name of the dog in the “subject” line of your email, to ADOPT@rocketdogrescue.org and the dog’s current foster care provider will contact you with information about adopting.

Sadie Jane's babies.....
Sadie Jane is the momma, but who is the daddy? The answer: WE DON'T KNOW!!!!!
As is frequently the case, Daddy did not leave a forwarding address or medical record. We will do our best to guess-timate adult size and breed/paternity, but this is not an exact science....
One thing we DO know....there are five girls and four boys! Details to follow.....
Sadie Jane is a MOM!!!
Meet our Sadie Jane....she is a beautiful young girl, a little over one year old...far too young to have puppies, but she gave birth to NINE lovely little bundles of joy...all by herself. You see, Sadie Jane and her litter were found in a house AFTER the people (her former owners, probably...)had moved out!
The shelter staff were so worried about Sadie and her litter in the shelter...the noisy environment is definitely not a good place for babies, plus most shelters do not have the resources (staff, space, funds....) to care for mommas and their litters....therefore, they are often euthanized. But Rocket Dog Rescue could not bear to see them destroyed and stepped up to help this poor family.
Transport was arranged to the Bay Area, but Rocket Dog Rescue needed to shuffle dogs into new placements to make room. A wonderful rescuer named jane and her husband Greg offered refuge to "Sadie" until she could be brought to a Rocket Dog foster home. That is why Sadie now has the "Jane" added to her name...we are so grateful to Jane for taking in this momma in need!
Sadie is busy with caring for her babies...she and the babies will be ready to meet new people in late Nov. /Thanksgiving... She is about 16 lbs and has short legs and a long silky coat (black and white with occasional spots). She is not fearful, definitely likes people (adults and kids) and other dogs.
Sorry, we do not know about cats at this time......
